If you have an ear infection, the area may already be sensitive, and treatment can be uncomfortable. However, microsuction is still the most effective treatment alongside appropriate medication.

Taking a painkiller before your appointment may help reduce discomfort.

Use olive oil ear drops for at least 3 days before your appointment.

Apply 2–3 drops in the affected ear(s) to help soften the wax.
